Skipping

Natalie was skipping along the beach, randomly spinning in circles every couple minutes. She slipped off her shoes and started to run around in the sand barefoot. Then she dropped her shoes and ran to the water, where she rolled her pant legs up a little and waded into the water. She took her glasses off to reveal green eyes and stared out at the water.

Noah was sitting along the shore where the sand had turned a dark brown from the water. He stared out past the water, not noticing Natalie at all. He had been there for quite some time now but had thought that this beach was inhabited.

Natalie looked around and then noticed a boy sitting along the water. She smiled, glad that there was someone here that she could maybe talk to. She left her shoes where they were and ran over to him before dropping next to him.

"Hi!"

He slowly looked up at her, one eye bigger then the other, then had a spaz. He looked around, wondering where she popped up from and then he scuttled a few feet away from her on his butt. "Wh-Who are you?!" He asked, almost angerly.

Natalie stared at him weirdly.

"Are you ok? And I'm Meda!" she replied, beaming.

He frowned, switched to sitting cross-legged, and exhaled. "I'm fine.. You just startled me, umm.. Meda." He answered oqweirdly and looked over at the sand. A few seconds past and she didn't leave, so he glanced at her. "What are you doing here all alone?"

Meda sat cross legged and shrugged.

"I'm not along, you're here," she replied, smiling.

His head shot to her, kinda pissed. "What do you mean, 'you're here'?! I wasn't here before!" He crossed his arms, cocking his head to the side. "You came by yourself, not with me. Therefore, YOU.ARE.ALONE."

Natalie stared at the sand.

"Sorry...and I was just here to have some fun. I was going to play on the beach and stuff."

She bit her lip, sad that this guy didn't like her.

He rested his chin on his palm, his elbow on top of his knee. "Don't be sorry." He mumbled, rolling his eyes. "But who were you going to play with? I mean, as you can see, there's nobody here. Did you invite some more people to come over here for a party or something?"

Natalie shook her head and smiled, glad that the boy wasn't angry at her.

"Nope! Just here by myself!"

He leaned forward, squinting at her, trying to make sure she wasn't an alien or something. "So, let me get this strait.. You came to the beach... To play in the sand... By yourself...? Is that it?"

Natalie nodded like a little kid.

"Uh huh, that's right!"

He stayed frozen. Waiting for her to say something else, but she didn't so he answered her reply. "that's a bit.. Wierd. Don't you think?"

Natalie shrugged.

"I dunno. I like the beach and today seemed like a good day to come so I did."

She smiled.

He cocked his head to the side, intriegued. "But don't girl's about your age... You know.. Bring a bunch of friends to the beach?"

Natalie raised and eyebrow.

"I don't know...I don't have a lot of girl friends..."

She thought for a second.

"I actualy don't have any girlfriends."

His mouth hung open. "You don't have any?!" He gasped. "None at all?" He crawled onto his hands and knees and circled around her, trying to see if there was anything that would draw people away. Finding nothing, he plunked down in front of her, crossing his arms and looking very serious.

ooc: You know, he finds it weird that she's along on the beach and that she doesn't have any friends, yet HE was alone on the beach and has no friends. lol ^^

(doesnt matter LOL its kinda funny tho. i read the forest post with you and tatsu...yeah...he thinks that he can summon her with lines and numbers)

Natalie watched him, not knowing what he was doing. She was confused, thinking that having no girlfriends was a bad thing.

"Is that not good?"

(she actualy has a girlfriend but she doesn't know it...the different people that Natalie is only know people if they have met them. they dont share memories)

He scoffed. "Bad? No, it's not bad, it's just weird! You don't behave properly." He leaned over to her, his face only inches apart from hers. "You're very...Strange."

ooc: I actually put a little math into it though! I think I did a good job when it came to puzzle finding. ...He thought it was a puzzle...

(no! I realized that the second time i read it. its smart)

Natalie leaned back a bit, surprised by his closness.

"Um..."

She fell backwards onto her back.

"I'm strange?"

She thought for a second, then unconciously Diana shifted in. She jumped up and glared down at him.

"You the hell are you!?"

"Wah?!" He fell backwards onto his ass. "What the fuck?! What do you mean?!" He yelled back to her, really confused.

"Who the hell are you?!" she screamed again.

She looked around, realizing that there wasn't anyone around.

"You creep! Who the hell do you think you are! Talking to a girl on a deserted beach!!"

She realized that she didn't have any shoes on.

"Where the hell are my shoes?!"

She looked around and saw them. She ran over and pulled them on then turned back in Noah's direction.

Now he was REALLY confused, but too stunned to do anything about it. "W-What? What are you talking about?! I didn't take you anywhere! You came to me while I was just sitting here!" He looked around, flustered, but finding no one, stared back at her. "And I was wondering why you were out here all alone in the first place, Meda! You can't go yelling at me!"

His scowling features were more confused then ever. "She was so bright and cheery a second ago, what the hell happened?"

Natalie stared at him.

"Meda? Who the hell is that? And why would I come here!?"

She gesturd to the empty beach.

"It's dismal and empty and a perfect place for creeps like you! And plus, it's a beach! Why the hell would I come to such a suposedly cheerful and loud place!?"
